Notes from Planet X: pt. 6

"Over the years, I noticed a trend in the mail to my office from elementary schools. Slowly, legions of angry students move on, making room for new crops of students who may have never known the certainty of nine planets in the first place."
-- Neil deGrasse Tyson, "The Pluto Files," pg 109.

As go angry 8-year-olds, so goeth Tea Party types, seems like to me. To wit, the following additional quote from further up the same page:

"[The certainty of knowing that there are nine planets is] like knowing when you get out of the bed that the floor is solid."
-- Craig Manister, as quoted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, in "The Pluto Files," pg 109.
