Eschew Surplusage

Mark Twain's Rules of Writing via Steven J. Boyett's blog.

(Re/Be)latedly: 1) If you haven't read Boyett's Mortality Bridge, get outen yer seat and do so, and b) I finally got around to interlibrary loaning The Gnole.

Not yet reading, but it's there on the table giving me the stink eye.

I'll get to it, never fear.

And wondering in conclusion, if Twain threw around prose like "eschew surplusage" with abandon, would he have given verbing "keister" the thumbs-up?

So to speak.
