New Adventures In Dimbulb Republicans

Newt Gringrich, ladies and gentlemen: "“Really poor children, in really poor neighborhoods have no habits of working and have nobody around them who works so they have no habit of showing up on Monday,” Gingrich claimed.

“They have no habit of staying all day, they have no habit of I do this and you give me cash unless it is illegal,” he added."

The poor are a criminal class. Good freaking god. What next, berating the military incursions of "The Turk" and "The Hun"?

Charles Johnson wonders: "Good grief. Can this kind of stuff really be playing well with the GOP base?"

My answer: of *course* it does, because you'll note Grinch uses the words "in really poor neighborhoods" which means -- Bueller? Bueller? -- black. And calling black Americans lazy criminals is practically the password at the He-Man Woman Haters Club that passes for a political party over there.

Hunh. Just noticed the acronym for this blentry's title is "NADIR". Whattaya know?
